Fazaia Housing Scheme
Fazaia Housing Scheme-I, Raiwind Road, Lahore was initiated under the Private Housing Schemes platform for the employees of Pakistan Air Force for providing them a comfortable, respectable and modern living environment. For this purpose, the acquisition of 4319 Kanals land was completed in October, 2003. The Scheme was officially launched in December, 2003 whereas the planning and designing was completed in July, 2005. The approval of Master Plan from Lahore Development Authority (LDA) was done in December, 2005 followed by the commencement of Infrastructure Development Works in the same month. The Scheme is livable since year 2010. In August, 2011, an extension of 424 Kanals was added to the Fazaia Housing Scheme-I as a joint venture with M/S Zaamin by the name of Zaamin Villas on land sharing model.
The Fazaia Housing Scheme-I is now a home of residents from all cultures of Pakistan ranging from the judiciary, civil servants, defence forces, businessmen and many other fields.There are 2727 FHS-I members out of which, 120 are residents while 153 houses are either under construction or completed but vacant.
The Fazaia Housing Scheme-I is located on Raiwind Road 12.5 KMs from Thokar Niaz Baig Chowk, Multan Road, Lahore. The major housing projects in the surroundings are Valencia, Lake City, AWT phases I&II and DHA Rehbar. With the construction of Ring Road, Lahore in year 2017, it has now easy access from main city. It is about 38 KMs and approximately 35 minutes driveway from Allama Iqbal International Airport, Lahore. Appropriate sign boards are installed at Ring Road for guidance of route leading towards the scheme. Moreover, the interchange leading out from Ring Road to Fazaia Housing Scheme-I is named as Fazaia Interchange.
There are four entrances for this scheme; one from the adjoining Ring Road Interchange (located at 100 meters from the main entrance of the scheme on Raiwind Road) while other three entrances are from the LDA Structure Road passing between northern and southern part of the scheme.
The Fazaia Housing Scheme-I is a gated community with secured exit and entry points with 24/7 security coverage. It is an approved housing project by Lahore Development Authority (LDA) comprising of 10 residential blocks (A, B, C, D, E, F, G, H, J& K) with provision of central parks / green areas of appropriate sizes.
Fazaia Housing Scheme Lahore is well planned and well maintained scheme in Lahore with top priority on establishing high standards for better community living and developing religious harmony among the residents of the scheme. For performing religious rituals a Central mosque in Block H has been constructed at an area of 2.78 Kanals. Mosque will be the center for all the congregational religious activities for its residents and will have capacity to accommodate more than 2500 Namazis. It will also house an Islamic library having rich literature to enlighten the reader regarding the teachings and practice of Islam.
PLAZA ‘A’ BLOCK
It is utmost priority of the management of the scheme to provide day to day all necessary requirements required for the residents of the scheme at their doorstep. Therefore a multistory commercial plaza has been constructed at commercial zone of Block A. This commercial plaza will incorporate a commercial bank, well reputed food chains for providing quality food, grand departmental store for providing the resident’s house hold items of daily need and business offices from different aspects of life.
WATER FILTRATION PLANT
Provision of clean water to each and every resident of the scheme is the top priority of the Fazaia Housing Scheme Lahore management. For the said purpose water supply provided to the residents of the scheme is periodically checked and tested. Subsequently in addition to this effort 02 filtration plants at Northern and Southern parts of the scheme in Block A and Block H have been installed and operational since November, 2016. The first and foremost purpose for installation of these filtration plants is to provide the safe drinking water for the residents of the scheme.
REVISION OF SCHEME MASTER PLAN
Fazaia Housing Scheme (Phase-I) Lahore comprises an area of 4319 kanals and 2910 plots varying in sizes and categories. Some area of the scheme has fallen under the right of way of Ring road Lahore therefore planning is under way to include additional land in the scheme and revise the master plan of the scheme. Along with this all the services (sewerage network, water supply network, drainage network, suigas network, electrification network) of the scheme has been interrupted, therefore redesigning for rehabilitation of the damaged services mentioned above have been finalized and construction of sewerage and drainage and water supply networks through the rerouted paths is underway and likely to be completed in near future.
For providing the members of the scheme with an opportunity to have common area for socializing and spending their leisure time, planning of community center is underway. Community center will house a well reputed food chain for providing sumptuous food and soothing environment for the residents at their door step. Along with this it will also provide the opportunity to the members to have a common area for socializing and spending their leisure time. Community center will also constitute a hall specified for social gatherings for the residents of the scheme and there will be well designed events on special occasions keeping in view the healthy inputs and necessities of the respected members.
